Our clients’ brief centred on reinstating the property’s original elegance whilst incorporating the sophisticated living standards their family expected. This delicate balance guided our comprehensive transformation approach.
The project required meticulous façade retention of the front and side elevations, while the interior underwent a complete back-to-brick renovation. We reimagined the internal architecture around a spectacular central staircase, creating a continuous void that dramatically connects all levels from the basement to the third floor. Lower ground extensions provide additional family space, while contemporary amenities include a passenger lift, comprehensive air conditioning, and intelligent automation controlling lighting, window treatments, and the impressive six-metre sliding rear doors.

The scope demanded separate family and chef kitchens, with exquisite bespoke finishes throughout. Navigating multiple approval processes with local planning authorities, building control, and the Phillimore Estate itself required careful coordination and the establishment of relationships.
Our design development process showcased innovative techniques. Custom handrail profiles were first modelled digitally, then 3D printed at full scale for tactile client approval before fabrication. This approach extended to other bespoke elements, ensuring absolute precision in execution.
Close collaboration with contractors orchestrated complex logistics, from the installation of imported marble to the coordination of sophisticated furnishing schedules. This comprehensive approach, combining traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, delivered a residence that honours its prestigious setting while providing refined contemporary living.
